Crossfit Review
General Review
Workouts.
This was a basic workout compared to the H10 Polar chest strap. If I was using a full Polar device/watch it would have shown me exertion effort expended and recovery time. You can see the Fitbit doesn't provide any deeper insights other than basic information. Heart rate monitoring was fair (other than random, incorrect spike in the beginning), but not a lot of wrist flex other than burpees mid-workout. The other difficult thing about the Fitbit analytics is that you can't pull up the detailed heart rate - the picture shown is just a blown up version of what is shown on the summary page.
Sleep/Recovery Tracking.
This is the new Sleep Score Fitbit is offering, which tries to gauge how well you slept, but the summary stats aren't that in-depth or insightful. The restoration stats is just based on time below resting heart rate, which doesn't indicate a significant analysis. Polar offers beat to beat analytics and breathing rate. Garmin offers a HRV based Body Battery component, in addition to Pulse Ox evaluation. It feels like Fitbit is late to the game and not offering significant insight still. BUT - they are supposed to release Pulse Ox eval at some point soon, so we will see.
