Optical Heart Rate Accuracy
Workout 1 - UIM #4 & 5
The Coros held up relatively well for the first workout out of the gate - the heart rate at 93.7% of top Heart Rate Zone and 96% of Heart Rate Average. It also strangely compared well to the Garmin Training Effect and Recovery Amounts.
Workout 2 - UIM #6
The Coros faltered a bit on HR accuracy on this one - picking up 93% of the HR average but only 62% of the HR Zone 5 time.
Workout 3 - UIM #7
The Coros reallly fell flat on this workout - 65% accuracy on the HR Average and 0% of Zone 5 time. It also highly affected the workout output calculations and Load addition.
Workout 4 - Double Unders, Burpees, and Back Squats
This was Workout #2 from Support Your Box online competition - Declining Double Unders and Burpees - followed by Back Squats for 4:00. The Coros caught 92% accuracy on Average HR, but only 22% of Zone 5 time, thus leading it to under-calculate the Load and Workout Output.

Workout Output/Evaluation Comparison
***All of the Following are with All Testing Units paired to the same Chest Strap for Accuracy and Comparison of Output Evaluation.
UIM 5 Redo - 16 Minutes of SA 50# Thrusters and Burpees EMOM
This was a difficult workout that although brief was exhausting. The two primary watches evaluated it differently, albeit with the same number system. The Recovery time was inclusive of this work, a morning run, and a brief morning swim not shown. After the three activities of the morning I feel the Garmin was a little more accurate, but I really felt like it should have been in the middle, and may lean towards Coros as the more appropriate because nothing was deeply and extensively exhausting.
Coros - 2.4 Aerobic Effect - 0.9 Anaerobic Effect - 16.6 Hours of Recovery needed
Garmin - 3.1 Aerobic Effect - 1.9 Anaerobic Effect - 34 Hours of Recovery needed
Coros - 2.4 Aerobic Effect - 0.9 Anaerobic Effect - 16.6 Hours of Recovery needed
Garmin - 3.1 Aerobic Effect - 1.9 Anaerobic Effect - 34 Hours of Recovery needed
Monostructural - 3.5 Mile Run
The two differed more significantly - this is with both paired to the same chest strap for accuracy. I feel like the Coros was correct on the anaerobic side (it was a steady-state run), and the Garmin far more accurate not the Aerobic side. The Garmin gave ~20 hours of Recovery and the Coros ~11 hours. Not being much of a runner the 20 felt more accurate, but based on HR strength/capability I think the Coros was more spot on.
Coros - 1.6 Aerobic Effect - 0.0 Anaerobic Effect
Garmin - 3.1 Aerobic Effect - 1.0 Anaerobic Effect.
Coros - 1.6 Aerobic Effect - 0.0 Anaerobic Effect
Garmin - 3.1 Aerobic Effect - 1.0 Anaerobic Effect.
Hill Sprints & Goblet Squats
The watches are starting to align more and more - this was a run followed by 10 rounds of 10 goblet squats and a hill sprint.
The Recovery times were close - Garmin had a 6-7 hour residual build up from the day before.
Coros - 3.0 Aerobic/2.0 Anaerobic - 21.5 Hours Recovery
Garmin - 3.0 Aerobic/1.2 Anaerobic - ~+34 Hours Recovery

C&J EMOM, Back Squats, and UIM “Move” 6 (Jumping Squats & Burpees)
The Coros is lining up really well with the Garmin. They both had similar outputs and Recovery Time - the Recovery below is added to accumulation from the previous workout, and they somewhat matched in total time added.
